Building Inspection Component

The building inspection component assesses accessible structural and visible building elements, including footings and foundations, subfloor areas or slabs, roof framing and roof coverings, external site conditions, drainage, doors and windows, wall linings and wet areas such as bathrooms, laundries and kitchens. Moisture ingress, movement, cracking and other visible defects are assessed throughout the property.

Timber Pest Inspection Component

The timber pest inspection component involves checking for evidence of termites, wood borers, fungal decay and conditions conducive to timber pest activity. Particular attention is given to high-risk areas, including roof voids, subfloor spaces and damp or poorly ventilated locations. Thermal imaging and moisture detection equipment may also be used where required to assist in identifying concealed issues.

Reporting

All findings are compiled into a detailed digital report containing photographs, identified defects, possible causes, conducive conditions and recommendations for repairs, treatment or further investigation where necessary.

Standards & Compliance

Building inspections are carried out in accordance with AS 4349.0 and AS 4349.1, while timber pest inspections comply with AS 4349.3, ensuring professional, consistent and reliable reporting.

2. On-site Inspection

We will complete a thorough, independent inspection of the property using industry standards and the latest in thermal and moisture detection equipment.

Depending on the size and condition of the property, most inspections take between 2 and 3.5 hours.

3. Report Delivered

A clear, detailed  PDF report including photos and findings will be delivered via email within 24 hours of the inspection.

4. Follow-up/Review

We offer an optional follow-up phone call, where we can guide you through the report, explain key issues and answer any questions you may have, ensuring you can make informed decisions.
